Liability Release and Assumption of Risk

I, the undersigned participant in the Bay to Lake Relay Race, hereby acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions:

Assumption of Risk

I understand that participating in a long-distance relay race on streets and public roadways involves certain inherent risks and dangers, including but not limited to, the risk of falling, tripping, collision with vehicles or other participants, adverse weather conditions, and fatigue. I acknowledge that I am voluntarily participating in this event with full knowledge of these risks.

Health and Physical Condition

I certify that I am physically fit and have no medical conditions that would prevent me from safely participating in the Bay to Lake Relay Race. I understand that it is my responsibility to consult with a medical professional if I have any concerns about my ability to participate in this event.

Release of Liability

In consideration for being allowed to participate in the Bay to Lake Relay Race, I hereby release and discharge the organizers, sponsors, volunteers, and any associated parties from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of or related to any injury, loss, damage, or harm that I may suffer as a result of my participation in the event, including but not limited to, personal injury or property damage.

Photography and Publicity

I consent to the use of my name, likeness, and photographs taken during the event for promotional, marketing, and publicity purposes by the Bay to Lake Relay Race organizers, without compensation.

Safety Guidelines

I agree to abide by all safety guidelines and instructions provided by the event organizers, including but not limited to traffic rules, course directions, and any COVID-19 safety protocols that may be in effect.

Insurance

I understand that I am responsible for my own health and accident insurance coverage during my participation in the Bay to Lake Relay Race. The event organizers do not provide insurance coverage for participants.

I have read and understand this Liability Release and Assumption of Risk Form, and I voluntarily agree to its terms.
